A Timely Project.

Hi...l hope you all got to have some fun over the weekend....After the excitement of our (Chadstone) shopping trip last Sunday my days have seemed a bit lacklustre and Christmas CheerLESS this week, of course the crapola weather hasn't helped.... there were 93 garage sales in the paper this Saturday (yep l counted them) and prob'ly one of the best car boot sales of the year and usually l'd be off like a brides nightie ....but NUH!!....l don't know what's goin' on there.....  l did however put the Christmas tree up and decorated it this week which was fun once the tangled mess of lights were on and powered up. The tree's PURPLE...l'll show a couple of pics next post.

I've also spent a couple of idle telly viewing hours making these fabric flower type brooches. To make them l tore some soft fabric into strips about 1.5 cms wide and simply folded them it into loops and joined all the loops in the centre with a few handstitches, then added decorative centres.

To the one on the left l've also added some tulle strips . In the centre is an earring which l've cut the clip off and handsewn on like a button, through a couple of holes in the metal surrounds.
The one on the right is made the same way but l've handsewn on some micro beads and the centre is a pair of clock hands glued onto a button. They might also make nice Christmas bows for presents or napkin decorations.

Here l've put together a few things from around the house that have a bit of a Christmas look.

Mercury  glass and cut glass perfume bottle on a vintage Italian tray.

l've shown similar to this before but hopefully you'll agree it's pretty enough to reshow.

The roses have been stunning this year.....here are lots of blooms on the dining table looking out to the garden beyond.

Trawling around Pinterest l've found these lovely pics. hgtv.com

Thanks so very much for stopping by...enjoy your week.

Til next time

Bron.

  5. Think we're all feeling a little overwhelmed right now....except the exceptionally well-organised people who have shopped, wrapped, prepared, planned all in good time....I`m not one of them....I just want to run away...very fast! Your makes are very pretty. How talented you are.
